eMigrate for UAE employment: a guide for Indian workers

Treat eMigrate as a check of people and papers, not as one more form you complete in the dark. This guide explains what the official Indian system is for, who may need it for UAE employment, which details must match, and what to do if a step stops. Not every Indian worker follows the same path. That depends on ECR or ECNR status and the current official rules. UAE Work Hub cannot issue emigration clearance, decide your passport status, or replace the live portal. Last reviewed 4 September 2026. Recheck the official website, because screens and labels can change.

What eMigrate is

eMigrate is the official Indian government portal used in many employment journeys from India to overseas destinations, including the UAE. It is run under the Ministry of External Affairs. In simple words, it is a place where the worker, the foreign employer, and — when used — a recruiting agent can be recorded and checked against the same job details.

The useful way to think about it is this: someone is offering you a job outside India. The official system asks whether the people and the papers match. A PDF offer, a WhatsApp message, or a website article is not the same as an official record.

This guide was reviewed on 4 September 2026. The official portal can change its menu names, login screens and document lists. If a screenshot you saw last year looks different, trust the live site at https://emigrate.gov.in/ and the MEA pages at https://www.mea.gov.in/.

Who the process may apply to

Not every Indian worker needs the same eMigrate steps. Whether a path applies can depend on your passport category (often discussed as ECR or ECNR), the destination country, the purpose of travel, and the official rules in force when you travel. Those rules can change. This website does not announce your official ECR or ECNR status.

ECR and ECNR are administrative marks on an Indian passport process. They are not a grade of your passport and not an employer decision. A quiz, a recruiter message, or this guide cannot certify which mark you have. Confirm status only through official Indian channels. Start with /guides/ecr-vs-ecnr-passport-uae-jobs/ and the official MEA and eMigrate sites.

Who takes part

Several people can appear in one employment file. Each has a different job. If you do not know who owns a step, you cannot know who should answer a delay.

ParticipantUsual roleWhat you should see
You (the candidate)Give true identity and contact details. Complete only official candidate steps when asked.Your name and passport match the offer and any portal record.
Foreign employerOffer the job, sponsor the UAE work visa, and complete employer-side records where required.A legal employer name you can check, not only a brand nickname.
Recruiting agent (if used)A registered Indian recruiting agent may handle part of the India-side process.A registration you can check on the official channel, not only a visiting card.
Indian authority / eMigrateRecords and checks the file against current rules.Status on the official portal, not only a forwarded screenshot.

One Accord Global / UAE Work Hub can explain the current warehouse vacancy and help you prepare papers. That is not the same as being the Indian government office. The employer on the written offer is the party that must match UAE records. Confirm that name before you treat any portal file as yours.

A high-level process

The exact buttons and page names on eMigrate can change. Do not treat an old screenshot as a map. Use this high-level order to stay safe. It is not a click-by-click tutorial and it is not a way to bypass any rule.

  1. Hold a written job offer or contract that names the employer, job title, pay, hours and destination.
  2. Check whether your passport path may need Indian emigration steps. Confirm ECR or ECNR only on official channels.
  3. The foreign employer, and a registered recruiting agent if one is used, complete their official side.
  4. You complete only the official candidate steps when the system or the authorised party asks you to.
  5. Names, passport numbers, job title, salary and destination must match across the offer, the portal and your passport.
  6. Wait for the official result that applies to your case before you travel.
  7. If a screen looks different from something you saw earlier, follow the live portal, not a saved picture.

The current UAE Work Hub warehouse vacancy advertises basic pay of AED 2,200–2,500 plus eligible overtime, 8 hours a day and 6 days a week, employer visa, accommodation and transport. Three daily meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) are included. Flight details are shown in the vacancy information. Those figures belong in the written offer and, where required, in the official file. They are not a reason to skip a matching check.

Data that must match

Most delays are not mysterious. A letter, a portal row and a passport line do not say the same thing. Before you upload or confirm anything, compare these fields side by side.

FieldWhere it appearsWhy a mismatch matters
Full namePassport, offer, portalA missing middle name can stop a file.
Passport number and expiryPassport, portal, travel papersAn old scan or a renewed passport must be updated everywhere.
Employer legal nameOffer, UAE papers, eMigrateA trading name is not always the legal employer.
Job titleOffer, contract, portalHelper, picker and packer are not interchangeable labels.
Salary and currencyOffer, contract, portalAED 2,200 basic is not the same as a verbal “plus overtime” total.
Destination / work locationOffer, portalDubai South / Jebel Ali logistics should match the written site, not a guess.
Contact detailsPortal, recruiter fileAn old phone number means you miss official messages.

Prepare scans only when the current stage asks for them. A clear later copy is safer than sending every file on day one. Use /guides/documents-required-dubai-job-from-india/ for a stage list. Do not type a passport number into a random website quiz.

How to check a recruiting agent or employer

A visiting card, a PDF letterhead, or a company name in a chat is not a verification. Check on official channels, then compare the names you see there with the names on your papers.

  1. Write down the exact legal employer name from the offer, including spelling and legal form if shown.
  2. Write down the recruiting agent name and any registration number they give you. If they give none, ask in writing.
  3. Open the official eMigrate portal at https://emigrate.gov.in/ and use only the verification or search routes published there.
  4. For the UAE employer and contract terms, use official MOHRE channels at https://www.mohre.gov.ae/ when that stage exists. Prepare the fields first with /guides/verify-uae-job-offer-mohre/.
  5. Compare employer name, job title, salary and hours. If one field differs, stop and ask for a written correction.

This website is not connected to eMigrate or MOHRE. A green tick on a UAE Work Hub page is not an official registration. A missing record is also not, by itself, proof of a scam. It is a reason to pause and check.

Typical mistakes

These mistakes appear often. They are avoidable if you slow down and match papers before you pay or travel.

Payments and receipts

Some official steps can involve a fee. This page does not publish a fee list, because amounts and payment routes can change and must come from the official source. If a payment is required, you should be able to see what it is for and receive an official receipt.

If the process stops

A stopped file is stressful. The safe response is to find the owner of the step, not to buy a shortcut.

  1. Write the last official status you can see, with the date. Use the portal if you have access, or ask the authorised party for a written status.
  2. Name the owner of the open step: you, the employer, the recruiting agent, or the official office.
  3. Check the matching table again: name, passport, employer, title, salary, destination.
  4. Correct only the field that is wrong, then ask the owner to resubmit or update that field.
  5. If you need help from the Indian side, use the contact or grievance route published on https://emigrate.gov.in/ or https://www.mea.gov.in/.
  6. Do not buy travel, resign a current job, or pay a fixer while the owner of the step is still unknown.

Use the readiness checker

The eMigrate readiness checker on this site is a preparation list. It asks whether identity, employer, contract and document items look complete enough to compare. It is not connected to eMigrate. It cannot approve clearance, reject you, or confirm ECR status.

Use it here: /tools/emigrate-uae-readiness-checker/. After you see gaps, read /guides/ecr-vs-ecnr-passport-uae-jobs/, /guides/uae-work-visa-from-india/, /guides/verify-uae-job-offer-mohre/ and /guides/documents-required-dubai-job-from-india/. Then open the official portals to do the real check.

Official sources

Recheck these sources before you act. This page was reviewed on 4 September 2026. Portal menus can change after that date.

When you return to the official sites, recheck at least: whether your case type still needs an emigration step, how a recruiting agent is verified, which documents the live form asks for, and any published fee or receipt route. Do not rely on this article as a live copy of the government interface.

Frequently asked questions

Do all Indian workers need eMigrate?

No. Not every Indian worker follows the same path. Whether eMigrate steps apply can depend on ECR or ECNR status, the destination, the purpose of travel, and the official rules at the time you travel. This website cannot decide your case. Confirm on https://emigrate.gov.in/ and https://www.mea.gov.in/.

Can I register without an employer?

Employment files need a real foreign employer and matching job details. A candidate cannot invent a complete employment record without those details. If someone offers to “register you first” without a named employer, treat that as a warning and check the official portal instructions for your situation.

How do I verify a recruiting agent?

Use only the verification or search route published on the official eMigrate portal at https://emigrate.gov.in/. Write down the agent name and any registration number first. A visiting card, PDF or WhatsApp profile is not a verification. If the agent will not give a number you can check, pause.

What if my job title does not match?

Do not confirm the file. Ask the employer or authorised agent for a written correction so the offer, the contract and the official record use the same title. Helper, picker and packer are different labels. A mismatch can stop clearance or create problems later in the UAE.

Can a website quiz approve emigration clearance?

No. The readiness checker at /tools/emigrate-uae-readiness-checker/ is a gap list only. UAE Work Hub cannot issue clearance, certify ECR status, or replace https://emigrate.gov.in/. Only the official process can approve a step that belongs to the Indian government.

Ready to take a calm next step?

If the role still looks suitable, you can submit an application. A written offer, not this guide, confirms pay and benefits.
